Take a little time to explore our features and navigate. We will guide you and help you to understand how the system works.
Basic Navigation : For All Users
Top Navigation Bar - To switch between pages
- Home: Clicking this button launches different home pages for developer, recruiter and anonymous user.
- Developers: Clicking this button shows a page with the list of all our developers.
- Recruiters: Clicking this button shows a page with the list of all our recruiters.

Main Home - Landing Page
Introduction page :
- Can be accessed by clicking on the Home button on top navigation bar.

Developers - List of all our developers
To view all developers :
- Click on the Developers button on top navigation bar.
- This will show a list of all the developers registered with us.
- Click on a developer’s name to view his or her details.

Recruiters - List of all our recruiters
To view all recruiters :
- Click on the Recruiters button on top navigation bar.
- This will show a list of all the recruiters registered with us.
- Click on a recruiter’s name to view his or her details.

Projects - List of all the projects done at GetACoder
To view all projects :
- Click on the Projects button on top navigation bar.
- This will show a list of all the projects done.
- Click on a project’s title to view the details.

Activity : For The DEVELOPER(s)
Opening A New Account As Developer - Open a new account
How to register:
- To open a new account, click on the link Register on the top right of the page. Note that if you are already logged in you have to click Log Out first to register for another account.
- The registration page will appear. Here you will be asked to provide Username, First Name, Last Name, E-mail address and Password.
- Click on the button Register.
- Provide your card ID and security number.
- Choose Developer as Choose what you want to be and click Confirm.
- Check the skills you want to show in your profile.
- This will take you to a page to take tests on skills you have chosen.
- After choosing your answers click Submit Answers and your account will be created.

Attend Test to Certify Skills - New developers are prompted to take tests after beginning the registration process
How to take test:
- After check marking the skills you want to give test on, you will taken a page with a few questions.
- Each question has 4 answer choices and exactly one of them is correct.
- Choosing the correct answer will add points to your rating.
- After providing your answers, click Submit Answers and your test will be evaluated and your account creation process will be completed.

Login - Login to your account using your Developer Username and Password.
How to login:
- Click on the link Login on the top right of the page.
- The login page will appear.
- You are required to provide correct Username and Password combination to log into your account.
- Click Login button.
- You will be redirected to your homepage.

Logout - Log out to sign in as different user or browse anonymously
How to log out:
- Click on the link Log Out on the top right of the page.
- This will redirect you to the main homepage.

Updating Basic Info - Updating basic personal information
How to change info:
- Login to your account using your developer username.
- On top navigation bar, click on the link titled You are logged in as …
- This will take you to your account page.
- Click on the Update Basic Info button to change your First Name, Last Name, Email and About You fields that will show up on your profile.

Viewing Your Projects - List of projects you (the developer) have done so far
Viewing all projects of the developer
- Click on the link My Projects on the sidebar.
- This will show you a list of all projects you have done so far.
- Click on a project title to view its details.

Placing A Bid - Developers are able to place a bid on project of their choice
Bidding
- Click on the link Open Bids on the sidebar.
- This will show all the projects you (the developer) are eligible to bid on.
- Click on project title to view its details.
- Click on the Bid image to start placing bid.
- This will take you to the bidding page with list of all past bid history and the requirements for the project.
- In the text box next to the text Your Amount place your bid amount in integer (in dollars).
- Click on the button Place Bid.
- If clicking shows any error message, you might have to bid lower.
- NOTE : It is not possible to undone once a bid has been made. Bids made out of whims might put you on the risk of getting banned from the site.

Bookmark A Project - List of projects you (the developer) have done so far
Viewing all projects of the developer
- Click on the link My Projects on the sidebar or on the Projects link.
- Navigate to project details page by clicking on its title.
- Click the button Add Bookmark to bookmark the project.
- Click on Bookmark button on the sidebar to view all your bookmarks.
- You can remove a bookmark by navigating to the project details page and clicking the button Remove Bookmark.

Checking Notifications - Notifications for you
To check notifications :
- Check sidebar to see if you have any new notifications. It will show the number of notifications you haven’t checked next to the link Notifications.
- Click on the link Notifications on the sidebar.
- This will show all your notifications.

Give delivery - Submit an update of your works to the recruiter
To submit an update :
- Click on a project with status ASSIGNED. You need to monitor them. The new page should take you to a portal where you can see a conversation window with the recruiter, also a button that prompts you to give a delivery.
- Click on the link Give Delivery on the page.
- You should now see a text box that tells you to paste a link.
- Copy your link to the clipboard and paste it.
- The recruiter will see the posted link and judge if it is satisfactory or not. Then he will confirm that the project is further completed.
- You can discuss with the recruiter on the project in the conversation window below.
- When a project is cent percent completed, the conversation window alongwith the delivery option will be closed.

Opening A New Account As Recruiter - Open a new account
How to register:
- To open a new account, click on the link Register on the top right of the page. Note that if you are already logged in you have to click Log Out first to register for another account.
- The registration page will appear. Here you will be asked to provide Username, First Name, Last Name, E-mail address and Password.
- Click on the button Register.
- Provide your card ID and security number.
- Choose Recruiter under Choose what you want to be and click Confirm.
- Click on I Understand button to confirm account creations and your account will be created.

Login - Login to your account using your Recruiter Username and Password.
How to login:
- Click on the link Login on the top right of the page.
- The login page will appear.
- You are required to provide correct Username and Password combination to log into your account.
- Click Login button.
- You will be redirected to your homepage.

- This will show you a list of all projects you have posted so far.
- Click on a project title to view its details.

Posting A New Project - Recruiters are able to post a new project
How to post:
- Click on the link Post A Project on the sidebar.
- Provide Title, Required Skills, Description, Minimum Rating and Bid Deadline for the project.
- Title : Choose a suitable title for your project. Try to make it as self-explanatory as possible.
- Required Skills : Check the skills listed that you deem required for your project.
- Description: Provide a brief description of your project. This might include what you expect from the project, what you want to be done, within which period of time you want the project etc.
- Minimum Rating : Provide a number in a scale of 1 to 10 to put constraint on the eligibility of the developers allowed to bid on your project.
- Bid Deadline : Click on the date you want the bidding of the project to end. Note that, bidding time starts immediately upon project creation. You can extend this period later on after the deadline has expired.
- Click on Post and the project will be posted and open for bidding.

Checking Notifications - Notifications for you
To check notifications :
- Check sidebar to see if you have any new notifications. It will show the number of notifications you haven’t checked next to the link Notifications.
- Click on the link Notifications on the sidebar.
- This will show all your notifications.

Confirm Updates - Confirm that the developer is actually doing his job by giving you deliverables.
To confirm an update :
- Click on a project with status ASSIGNED in your My Projects window. You need to monitor them. The new page should take you to a portal where you can see a conversation window with the developer, also a button that prompts you to confirm an update.
- Click on the link Confirm Update on the page.
- You should now see a text box that tells you that you cannot revert the confirmation.
- If you are sure, then confirm.
- Upon your confirmation that the project is 100 percent completed, the project will be marked COMPLETED and you will be notified.
- You can discuss with the developer on the project in the conversation window below.
- When a project is cent percent completed, the conversation window alongwith the delivery option will be closed.

Rate a project - Let us know about your experience in a project so that we can better your experiences in future.
To rate a project :
- You will be automatically taken to the rating page when you have given confirmation that the project is 100 percent completed and then the project has been marked as COMPLETED
- Submit your ratings on the four categories.
- Click the button Submit Rating to submit your rating.
- When you have submitted the ratings, then the rating of the developer will be updated accordingly.
